We’re looking for a Developer Evangelist – Face.com wants you!

What the Heck is a Developer Evangelist?

As an official Face.com evangelist, you’ll be charged with traveling the country to attend hackathons and other developer events, helping the developer community discover the power of our Face Recognition API and use it to build awesome apps.

You'll also work the social media channels, using Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, our blog, and other tools to engage with developers, communicate the value of face recognition, and generally be an expert in your field.

This is a big deal for a lucky someone who wants an all expense paid trip to…Branson, Missouri!  Actually no, really, it’s probably to pretty cool places like NYC, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco and then back to NY again.

Why does Face.com Need an Evangelist?

Being developers ourselves, this is our way to show love back to all those who are interested in building awesome apps to change the world with us. We know Hackathon's are where a lot of the development magic happens and where great ideas are born. During those moments, in place and time, we'd like to offer the best support ever.

"Job Description"

Why do you want this awesome job:

  • You get free, all expenses paid trips to cool locations around the United States
  • You get to do something you love to do (hack, code, tweet, travel and drink) with cool people from around the world
  • You're working with cutting edge technology and some of the smartest people on the planet
  • If you're good at it, you could find a new career as that rarest of breeds,  a social engineer

Alright, I'm in. What do I do?

Entering the contest is easy - the hard part is convincing us that you're a genius developer who can stand up to all the tasks and really loves our face recognition API:

  • Submit a YouTube video outlining why you are supremely qualified to carry the Face.com message. We want to feel your passion (but in a PG13 way). Enthusiasm for the Face API is a must.
  • Develop an application that shows your mad skillz and leverages the Face.com API.

Reach out to us on evangelist@face.com for questions and submissions.

Good luck!
